Our Story


Phonelink Security is established

Sean O Conchuir leaves Eircom PhoneWatch to establish Phonelink Security as a sole trader. Phonelink Security becomes an authorised Eircom PhoneWatch dealer and after only 6 months employs 3 engineers full time.


Sean O Conchuir Security Limited is formed.

Phonelink Security becomes a trading name of Sean O Conchuir Security Limited and adds an additional two employees bringing the number of full time employees to 5.


PhoneWatch terminates its dealership agreement

A Norwegian company Sector Alarms who purchased Eircom PhoneWatch in July of 2013 terminated the contracts of all locally owned Irish contractors previously employed by Eircom PhoneWatch. Phonelink Security went out on their own and formed a partnership with Digiwatch to provide better value installation, maintenance and monitoring services.


Sean O Conchuir Security Limited and Viking Security Limited merge

Sean O Conchuir Security Limited merged with Viking Security Limited growing our customer base making Phonelink Security one of the largest security companies in the south east of Ireland. Shortly afterwards Sean O Conchuir Security Limited opened a new Dublin office in Stillorgan.

Meet our Management Team

Seán Ó Conchúir
Seán Ó Conchúir Managing Director

Sean worked in Dublin initially from 1991 as a security installer and an emergency lighting technician while studying electronics in Fàs and onto Kevin street. Seán took up a post with Eircom Phonewatch in 1996 carrying out service and installations on their behalf until 2003 when he set up Phonelink Security. Phonelink Security have extensive experience of eircom PhoneWatch systems, having previously been a registered installer in the south-east for 18 years.

Seàn is very involved in the local community as a Cub Scout leader in Arklow. He sings with the revival gospel choir in Arklow and a keen supporter of the local AGB GAA club. Phonelink security also sponsors the children teams in both the boys and girls in AGB. As a father of five children when Seàn is not busy running Phonelink security his time is spent with his family.

Declan Hogan
Declan Hogan Financial

Declan has worked in the security industry for the last 25 years at senior management level. He has a Fetac level 7 certificate in Mechanical Engineering from Bolton St college of technology and a Fetec level 6 Advanced Certificate in Electronics and Instrumentation at Kevin Street College of Technology. He has a Diploma in security Management which he studied in Dublin City University and Fetec Level 6 Train the Trainer certificate from The Security Institute of Ireland.

Declan was previously Managing Director of Viking Security for 20 years looking after the security requirements of many of Irelands leading Blue chip companies. Declan’s role within the company ranges from operations management, to strategic business planning and implementation.

Diarmuid Kenny
Diarmuid Kenny Operations Manager

For the past six years Diarmuid has worked with Phonelink Security as an operations manager. Diarmuid has a extensive knowledge reorganising company's operational processes with experience gained doing so in construction, advertising and computer manufacturing & supply industries. Diarmuid studied marketing and has an MMII GRAD Awarded by Marketing Institute of Ireland in 2001 and a BPI Six Sigma green belt certification as well as a Fetac level 6 train the trainer.

David Hogan
David Hogan IT Manager

David has been developing software for over 13 years having taught himself to write code in 12 programming languages. Since joining Phonelink Security from Viking Security he has focused on developing the companies IT infrastructure and building it’s brand image. David holds a First Class Honours Degree in Computer Science from Griffith College Dublin and is currently studying a Masters in Management at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
